Terms of service
Effective:
These terms apply when you book, receive or pay for appliance repair from Luxury Appliances Service in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties, Florida, and when you use luxuryapplianceservices.com. In short: the diagnostic is $145 per appliance and is credited toward the repair, and no repair work starts until you approve the price.
When these terms apply to your appliance repair
“Luxury Appliances Service”, “we” and “us” mean the business that operates this website and the technicians who perform work for it, whether employees or contractors. “You” means the person who books or approves the service, including a property manager, realtor or other representative acting for an owner.
These terms apply when you book a visit online, by phone or by text, when you let our technician begin the diagnostic, and when you approve a repair. If a written estimate, work order or invoice for a specific job states different terms, that document applies to that job.
If you book service for a property you do not own, you confirm that the owner has authorized you to arrange access and approve work. Tell us at booking if the owner or your company should be invoiced; otherwise the person who approves the repair is responsible for payment.
$145 diagnostic per appliance, credited toward the repair
The diagnostic charge is $145 for each appliance the technician inspects. If you approve the repair, the $145 is credited toward the repair price. If you decline the repair, you pay $145 for each appliance diagnosed.
Some faults are intermittent or hidden behind panels. If the cause cannot be confirmed in one visit, the technician explains what further testing is needed and its price before doing it.
Appliance repair price approved before work begins
After the diagnostic, the technician gives you the repair price, including parts and labor, before starting the work. No repair work begins until you approve it in person, in writing, by text or by email.
If the technician finds another problem during the repair, or the approved price would change, the technician stops and asks for your approval before doing more. You may decline the extra work and pay only for the work you approved.
A quoted price applies to the visit where it is given unless the technician states a longer period, because parts prices and availability change. Florida sales tax is added where the law requires it.
Original parts sourced from the manufacturer
We install original parts sourced directly from the manufacturer. When a part has to be ordered, the technician tells you, and we schedule the return visit once the part arrives. Delivery times depend on the manufacturer and are not guaranteed.
When parts have to be ordered, a deposit of 50% of the approved estimate is due before we order them, and the balance is due when the repair is completed. Parts are ordered specifically for your appliance. If you cancel the repair after the parts have been ordered, we keep from the deposit the $145 diagnostic charge for each appliance diagnosed, the cost of parts the supplier will not take back, and any supplier return, restocking and shipping charges, and refund the rest. If those amounts exceed the deposit, you pay the difference.
Parts we remove are disposed of unless you ask to keep them before the repair starts. A part that must go back to the supplier, for example under the supplier’s own warranty, cannot be kept. Installed parts become your property when the invoice is paid in full.
Paying for the appliance repair: card, Zelle, check, cash or ACH
Luxury Appliances Service accepts credit cards, Zelle, checks, cash and ACH payments. Payment is due when the work is completed. When parts have to be ordered, 50% of the approved estimate is paid as a deposit before ordering and the rest when the repair is completed. Any other arrangement, such as invoicing a property management company, is agreed in writing.
If a check is returned unpaid or a payment is reversed without a valid reason, you still owe the amount, and we may collect the bank fees and service charges allowed by section 68.065, Florida Statutes.
Visits today or tomorrow, seven days a week
A technician can come today or tomorrow, seven days a week. Calls are answered 24/7. Visits are scheduled within an arrival window.
There is no charge for rescheduling or cancelling a visit. Please call or text (786) 808-7771 as early as you can, so the time can go to another customer. If the technician arrives within the agreed window and cannot reach the appliance, we contact you to arrange another time.
We may reschedule or decline a job if the work area is unsafe, access is not available, or the repair cannot be done properly. If we decline before diagnosing the appliance, there is no charge.
Access and safety while we repair your appliance
Please have an adult (18 or older) present or arrange access in advance, keep the appliance and the space around it reachable, and keep pets secured during the visit. Technicians may stop or refuse work in unsafe conditions, such as a gas smell, exposed wiring or an active leak.
Built-in and panel-ready appliances sometimes have to be pulled out, or have panels and trim removed, to be repaired. Technicians protect floors, cabinetry and finishes, but fragile or aged flooring, tile, cabinetry, panels, trim and caulk can be marked during removal even with careful work. We are not responsible for this kind of damage when it occurs without our negligence, or for damage that existed before the visit.
Our work covers the appliance. We are not responsible for the condition of building plumbing, gas lines, electrical supply, venting or cabinetry, or for defects hidden inside them.
After a repair to an appliance with a water or gas connection, please watch the area for the next few days. If you see a leak, smell gas or notice anything unusual, turn off the supply if it is safe to do so and call us right away. Prompt notice limits damage and lets us respond.
90-day warranty on parts and labor
Repairs carry a 90-day limited warranty on the parts we install and our labor. What it covers, what it excludes and how to make a claim are set out in the 90-day limited warranty. Any implied warranties are limited as stated there.
Appliance manufacturer trademarks
Brand names and logos are trademarks of their owners and are used only to identify the appliances we repair.
Liability limits for appliance repair work
To the fullest extent permitted by Florida law, including for claims based on our negligence, our total liability for any claim arising from a service visit, repair or part is limited to the amount you paid us for that visit or repair.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including spoiled food, drinks or medicine, loss of use of the appliance, hotel, meal or travel costs, lost income, or losses caused by a delay in service.
These limits do not apply to injury or damage caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct, or to any liability that Florida law does not allow to be limited. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act or other consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.
Claims about our work are to be brought against Luxury Appliances Service, not personally against the technician who performed the work, unless the claim is based on that person’s own intentional wrongdoing. Technicians who work for us may rely on the limits in this section.
Repair disputes: Florida law and Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach courts
If something is wrong with a repair, call or email us first and give us a fair chance to fix it. Before filing any legal claim, send a written description of the problem and the outcome you want to office@luxuryapplianceservices.com and allow 30 days for a response. The time for filing a claim is extended by the same 30 days. This step does not apply to a request for an emergency court order.
These terms and any dispute about our services are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. A lawsuit must be filed in the state courts of the Florida county where the service was performed — Miami-Dade, Broward or Palm Beach — including small claims court when the amount qualifies.
To the extent permitted by law, you and Luxury Appliances Service each give up the right to a jury trial, and claims may be brought only individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in a class or representative action.
