Common faults
A warm refrigerator, an oven that will not heat and a dishwasher holding water need different checks. Luxury Appliances Service repairs these faults across Miami-Dade, using the appliance brand and symptom to guide the diagnosis. Choose the relevant repair for more detail, or call about what your appliance is doing.
Possible causes include a fan that isn't working, a temperature sensor or thermostat fault, a compressor, evaporator or condenser problem, or a worn door gasket. A newly started unit needs 24 hours to reach temperature, and Sub-Zero recommends cleaning the condenser every six to twelve months.
Possible causes include a fan that isn't working, a temperature sensor or thermostat, or a sealed-system problem. Moisture or condensation inside the unit can come from high room temperature or humidity — or from a fault in the unit itself.
Possible causes include spillover, burner placement, pan size, the spark module, switch, electrode or ignitor, the gas supply and outlet wiring. A burner wet from cleaning should dry first, and a very large pan can starve a burner of air and keep the ignitor clicking.
For an ice maker inside a Sub-Zero refrigerator or freezer, possible causes include a jammed cube, low water pressure, a frozen fill tube or a freezer that is too warm. A newly started Classic built-in can need 24 hours before its first ice; an in-unit ice maker makes about eight cubes every two to three hours. A separate undercounter ice machine has its own water and drainage system and needs different checks. We service both types.
Possible causes include no power, an issue after self-clean, a tripped thermal cutout, the cooling fan, control or relay board errors and the bake element. “LO” on the display is not an error: it means the oven is still preheating.
Possible causes include burner caps that have moved and burner ports that are wet or clogged. Clicking while ExtraLow is on is normal.
Possible causes include a clogged filter combination or a blocked drain pump, and kinks or loops in the drain hose.
A Thermador dishwasher can hold water when the drain line is blocked at the garbage disposal or the air gap, or the drain pump is blocked by debris. The drain hose needs a high loop 20 to 50 inches above the floor to pump properly.
Possible causes include an unsuitable wash program, a spray arm that can't rotate, and a filter plate or filter that is blocked or seated incorrectly. On double models a fault can affect one drawer while the other keeps working.
Possible causes include a door that isn't fully closed, poor ventilation, room temperature outside the unit's climate class, frequent door openings and a heat source too close. If none of these explains it, the unit needs a diagnosis.
A door that will not lock may not be closed properly. Close it and restart; call if the message returns. Water left inside can come from a blocked drain filter or drain pump and a drain hose fixed higher than 3 feet 3 inches.
Sparking without a flame can come from a gas supply valve in the OFF position or an interrupted gas supply. Igniters that keep sparking after the flame lights can mean the power supply is not grounded, the polarity is reversed, or the igniters are wet or dirty.

Coral Gables has low-density single-family residential districts, and Pinecrest includes single-family properties; South Miami is a separate municipality in the same service area. In a home with a fitted kitchen and additional bar refrigeration, tell us which appliance and room need attention. A cabinet-covered refrigerator or integrated dishwasher can be diagnosed and repaired without treating every appliance in the kitchen as one service request.
Kendall is an unincorporated community, while Homestead and Florida City are separate municipalities in the southern part of the county. Palmetto Bay and Cutler Bay are included in our coverage too, so an address outside the City of Miami can still receive service.
