GE Monogram range burners will not light
GE Monogram range burners that will not light can have a simple setting, cleaning or power cause, or an ignition or gas-supply fault.
Possible causes: Burner parts assembled incorrectly after cleaning; a dirty ignitor; wet burners or electrodes; clogged simmer-ring holes, burner-ring slits or orifice; Cooktop Lockout on; the range unplugged, a power outage or a tripped breaker; a closed manual cut-off valve or gas supply off.
Check first: Check the Cooktop Lockout setting, check that burner parts sit correctly after cleaning and let wet parts dry. Do not clear internal gas passages yourself.
When to call: The burner still fails. We inspect the ignition and the gas supply.
