GE Monogram gas burners will not light or keep sparking
GE Monogram gas burners that will not light or keep sparking can have a moisture, assembly or clogging cause.
Possible causes: Wet burners or electrodes; misplaced burner parts; clogged simmer-ring holes, burner-ring slits or orifice on gas rangetops; no power or gas off; on older downdraft cooktops, a clogged slot in the burner base or hole in the burner cap behind the igniter.
Check first: Check that the cooktop is plugged into a live outlet. Then, with the burner off and cool, check that removable parts are dry and correctly placed, using their normal care instructions.
When to call: Ignition faults persist. We check the persistent ignition fault.
