Miele range gas burner will not light
A Miele range burner that will not light can have a simple cause in its removable parts, the gas valve or air in the line.
Possible causes: Air in the gas line after first installation or a long period out of use; burner parts not properly assembled; a closed gas shut-off valve; a wet or dirty burner; clogged or wet flame holes.
Check first: On first use or after a long time out of use, try lighting several times. With the burner off and cool, check that removable parts are dry and correctly seated.
When to call: Ignition still fails. Arrange service; we inspect the burner, and gas connections stay with the technician.
