Miele gas cooktop burner will not light
A Miele gas burner that will not light can have a simple first-use or assembly cause, or a fault in the ignition system.
Possible causes: Air in a newly connected gas line; a burner that is not assembled correctly; a closed gas shut-off valve; a technical fault.
Check first: On first use, try several times, since air in the line can delay ignition. Turn the burner off after failed attempts.
When to call: Ordinary operation still does not light it. We check the burner and ignition system.
