Sub-Zero ice maker not making ice
A Sub-Zero in-freezer ice maker that is not making ice may still be starting up, or it can have a water-feed, jam or freezer-temperature problem.
Possible causes: A jammed ice cube; low water pressure; a frozen fill tube; a warm freezer; the water valve energized longer than 15 seconds.
Check first: On 600 Series units, confirm the freezer is at or below 5°F; 0°F is recommended. Allow 24 hours after switching on a new unit. In-unit ice makers average eight cubes every 2–3 hours, and the bin may take 1–2 days to fill.
When to call: Production stays low or stops. We check the ongoing loss of production and repair the identified fault.
