Common problems

Possible causes: The ice maker switched off; the water supply not connected; a new installation that has not yet had about 12 hours.

A Dacor DRZ column dispenser that will not release ice can be jammed after a long period without use.
Possible causes: Ice jammed after about three weeks without use; a bucket that is not properly inserted.
Check first: Check that the bucket is properly inserted. Do not force a jam or put tools into the mechanism. Before a long period without use, empty the bucket and turn the ice maker off.
When to call: Dispensing still fails. We inspect the bucket and dispenser.
A brief buzz while a Dacor French-door ice maker fills is the normal sound of its water valve.
When to call: The sound continues without ice production. We check the inlet valve and water supply.
Weak or no water flow to a Dacor DRF365300 ice maker can stop ice production and needs the supply checked.
Possible causes: Water pressure outside the 30–120 psi this French-door refrigerator needs.
When to call: Ice production stops after a water-supply change. We check pressure, the inlet valve and the filter connection; plumbing and internal water-system repairs stay with the technician.
