Gas ranges in 36- and 48-inch widths can need ignition, flame, oven-heating or door-lock repair.
The 48-inch steam range combines brass gas burners, a griddle and steam-assisted oven functions; we check the failed section.
The 30-inch induction range needs surface-heating, cooling-fan or communication checks when controls show a fault.
Common problems
A Dacor burner that keeps clicking can have its knob left in Lite, very large or yellow flames mean the wrong burner orifice for your gas, an oven that will not light while the burners work can have its door lock on, and Self Clean will not run with the Smart Divider in place or a burner on. Luxury Appliances Service checks ignition, the oven and its controls and gives you the repair price before any work; gas setup and internal electrical checks belong with a qualified technician.
A Dacor burner that keeps clicking can simply have its knob left in Lite.
Check first: Move the knob to the cooking setting once the flame is established. With the burner off and cool, check that its cap is seated.

Very large or yellow flames on a Dacor range point to a gas-setup issue that needs a qualified check, not an owner fix.
Possible causes: The wrong burner orifice for natural gas or LP.
What to do first: Stop using the affected burner.
When to call: Flames are very large or yellow. An installer or our qualified technician checks the burner orifice and gas setup.
A Dacor oven that will not light while the surface burners work can have a lock setting on or a gas-regulator issue.
Possible causes: The oven door lock on; the gas pressure regulator shut-off switch in the off position.
Check first: Check the lock setting without forcing the door.
When to call: The oven still will not light. We check the oven and gas controls; a regulator shut-off issue needs a qualified technician.
Self Clean on a Dacor 30-inch gas range will not run until the range is set up for it.
Possible causes: The Smart Divider installed; a surface burner on.
Check first: Let the range cool, turn off the burners and remove the divider as directed for the range.
When to call: Cleaning still fails. We inspect the lock and controls.
A code that stops a Dacor range from cooking is information about the fault, and gas and induction ranges use different codes.
Possible causes: On the gas range, C-31: the control board (PCB) temperature rose abnormally high.
What to do first: Stop cooking and read the displayed code. For an information code, turn the knob off and restart; if it persists, disconnect power for 30 seconds. For C-31 on the gas range, let it cool and do not use it again until it is checked.
When to call: The code persists or C-31 appears. We check cooling and controls before you use the range again.
Let the range cool before checking removable burner caps or vents. Leave gas setup, internal heating and electrical repairs to a qualified technician. Causes and owner checks follow Dacor’s use-and-care information, checked in October 2026.

Dacor 30-inch DOP30T840GS gas ranges and DOP30T940IS induction ranges use different control systems, so the same C-F2 points to a different communication path on each; most codes start with C-, while the induction codes F8, FA and A2 cover the inverters and the cooling fan. The meanings below follow Dacor’s use-and-care information, checked in October 2026. For an information code, turn the knob off and restart once; stop cooking if it returns and leave internal and electrical checks to the technician.
